1997 f150 misses and cutsout

i have a 97 f150 with a 4.6 and it started running funny yesterday...
if you drive it like a little old lady going to church on sundays theres no problem if you give more than half throttle its like its running out of gas any help with that would be nice and also when it gets cold out and i drive for a little while and i stop at a light i get this wierd noise sounds like a vacumm cleaner dont know where its coming from or what that is its annoying if i just barely touch the gas it stops thanks again guys ive counted on you a few times before thanks again...

You need to run error code scan(s) KOEO & KOER. Also check for Vac leaks. Air bypassing the PCV or disconnected? Hole in the carbon absorption canister? Problem w/ the EGR tube?

Re: 1997 f150 misses and cutsout

yea id take it to autozone and let em scan it. sounds similar to what my 97 was doing. was almost like it was cutting out on me. scanned it and narrowed it down to 3 possibilities. turned out to be my crankshaft position sensor was broken in half!
is your check engine light on?
