cat-back w/o header?

I was planning on getting the DC sports ceramic coated 4-2-1, 2-peice header to go with the Apexi World Sport exhaust that I AM getting no matter what. But I don't know 1) if I can convince myself to spend that much money all at once, and 2) If the header is actually worth it or not. I mean, does the cat-back really do anything without the header or is it two seperate things. It seems to me that I couldn't upgrade one without the other, but then it's like $750 for both. That's a bit steep for a college kid like me on his own. So what do you think? Bite the bullet or is it fine to get the WS w/o the header? Opinions please (NO WING COMMENTS DAMMIT OR I'LL SCREAM)

no matter wut, ur not gonna see big gains w/ exhaust an a header or w/ only an exhaust. i personally think u'd be fine if ur on a tight budget to jus get the exhaust an put the other money towards...a 50 shot? hehe

ok I have the WS exhaust and a DC 4-2-1 header and you get gains, but they're small don't expect too much, cuz you might be a lil disappointed. I got the WS exhaust cuz I loved the sound, it's one of the best brands out there, and it's completely different from most the other that sound like bumble bee's. If you're on a tight budget I'd get the beautiful sounding, high quality exhaust and then 35hp sneaky pete nitrous system made by Holley (N.O.S.). Either way I was still quite happy with my gains from the header.
It all really depends on how far you plan on going with your car because the gains with exhaust and header will be greater with the more mods you make, but if you want the power now forget about the header for now and get the sneaky pete system.

I was just wondering how much of a gain would a DC sports ceramic coated Header give your car HP wise with out the exhaust. Also how much the WS exhaust gain (hp wise) would be with out the header? That will help me make my choice. I am also looking into doing both of these to my 99 civic. I can get both done at the same time but would prefer not to. I was told by some one that a DC header would actually give me around 15-20 more hp alone. I guess they lied there face off to me? That reminds me I need to update my Signature. PEACE

Wow that was quick, Thanks for the heads up bro. I was really hoping the gains would be allot higher for the amount of coin they cost! My AEM cold air intake gave me around 9-10hp and only cost $300 CAN. My top speed is now 180kph vs. stock (170kph). So I guess all get exhaust first. Thx for the info KrNxRaCer00!

I actually just dropped by my Honda dealership in search of an OEM rear spoiler because in my opinion the stock wings look alright to me and not that ricy! Anyways low and behold the damn thing cost $700 CAN. I literally laughed in his face! I told him I could buy 3 boieg 747 rice wings for that price and left! Guess my ride will never have a spoiler on it.

All leave my opinions of your wing in my head Darkwing:silly2:
