a/c clutch dosnt move

i have a 1990 lumina with the 3.1 and last summer when I tried to use the a/c all I got was hot air. I looked at the compresser and the clutch wasn't moving at all. I bought it in Nov. 08 so I dont know if it worked before or not. Any solutions??

Re: a/c clutch dosnt move

Clutch will not engage if refrigerant charge pressure is too low.

Need to check w/gauge and see if there is any static pressure in the system. If not, it needs evac and charge, then check for other problems.

Re: a/c clutch dosnt move

I am parting out a 1992 lumina with a 3.1 and I can sell the a/c compressor to you or if you just want the clutch I can do that also, always had ice cold air. Just send me a pm and I will give more details if wanted.
