3000gt electrical nightmare help!!!1
I have a 1993 3000gt sl.. auto . i i jumped my buddy the other day and like 3 hours after that my my car started bugging out.... the voltage meter is going all over the place everytime i put a load on my voltage drops and eventually my car stalls out. like when i put my blinker on a/c or throw it from park to reverse or drive.. the voltage meter goes up and down up and down . and eventually stalls out ... when i start my car sometimes the voltage just instantly drops and car stalls out.... the battery never dies and it always starts right back up...
the alternator is fine it was tested... i have a new battery all my connections are good.. fuses are good... what could it be?????? maybe ecu? pleaseeee help me!! |

I think you jumping your buddy's car had nothing to do with your problems. The voltage meter always jumps around with any voltage draw. That is 100% normal. Mine has done it in all of the 7+ years of ownership and every 3s out there does it.
It might be an ECU problem that just happened to creep up at the same time. Pull the ecu, open it up and look for leaky caps.

go to autozone or advance and have them test your alternator/battery. It's free and it cant hurt.

I think you blew a diode in your alternator. You can also blow fuse able links if you touched a wrong wire.
