battery problem?

i just put a new battery in my bronco and after every night i have to recharge it...it won't hold a charge for any longer than a couple hours. what is my problem?

The alternator isn't charging the battery or there is a drain on the battery when the igniton is turned off. Check the charging issue with a volt/ohmeter . It should be chrarging at 13.8 to 14.3 volts. If that checks put a test light between the positive battery cable and the battery. If it lights up with the ignition on something is drainging your battery. Start pulling fuses. If the light goes out after you pull the fuse it is this circuit that is draining the battery. Investigate further to determine if the circuit or the unit itself is draining the battery.
