2000 Malibu Coolant Leak

My girlfriends Malibu has been leaking coolant, in the pictures the leak is to the left of the thermostat plug. It appears to originate near a bolt, at the edge of the intake manifold. She said that it's been leaking since she got the car and used to fill the coolant once every two months or so. It recently started leaking more and she would fill the coolant weekly. It doesn't seem to be leaking into the oil.

Like JD said the leaking intakes are common problem with the 3.1. Anytime a customer complains about leaking coolant or the motor getting hot its the first place I look.

See the sticky thread on replacing the intake gasket (lower intake manifold) above for more than you are likely to ever want to know.
