95 sohc revs between shifts

so ive had my 95 on the road for a few days and now i noticed when i push the clutch down the rpms climb a little befor they will drop (it takes around 10 seconds for the rpms to drop) i do have a ses light on but the only code is for the egr that has been removed



also this is with the mtx tb on havent swped over yet due to this issue

If your throttle bottle is dirty it might be slightly stuck open.

Vacuum leak can cause rise in rpm.

Idle air control valve dirty.

i cleaned everything when it was apart and no vacuum leaks it runs fine at an idle

you could try spraying carb cleaner or brake kleen around your intake gaskets (including block off plate) to see if any of them are leaking.

How high do the rpm rise?

i did this already vacuum leak was my first thought and it rises around 300 to 500 rpms
i also noticed it does not do it if i just slip it in to neutral and shift with out the clutch (if that makes sense to you sounded funny as typed it ????)
