300zx lifters
I ronald have a Question.I have a 300zx I've being working on the car for 2 yrs. The car been siting in my garage I rebuilt the head change oilpump and few parts, I take the car to a shop to do diagnostic they told me car have ticking sound and 2 of my lifters are not working the oilpump not give enought pressure I don't know what else to do. please help me out plea........se

Most Z32's with any milage have ticking lifters...
and the oil pressure gauage is notorious for being low... You can change out the oil pressure gauage or take it off and put a drill but the size of the oil hole down in it turn it a few turns by hand not pressing.. That usually that's out the crude and inproves your oil pressure The lifters and engine can be rejuvenated by running seafoam in the crankcase and fuel tank a couple of times. |

Just rebuild them
Ash has a write up on it. As for the pressure, the oem gauge and sending are crap. Go aftermarket. Seafoam is a good idea
