Street racer characteristics?
What Mods on a car do you think is the biggest tell-tell signs that that kid will race me?
I'm going with Exhaust. You? OH and can anyone give me an idea for a new muffler that looks stock, sounds like stock but gives good power?

either exhaust or ricer wing. but for good stockish exhuast i'd say borla there alot though flowmaster makes a rear and you can allways get piping and a "sports" mulffer for HP and stock look. But just because someone has an exhaust or wing doesn't mean he/shes going to race you

Stickers or a big ass wing like those ugly ass touring wings and the aluminum ones.

I know. I'm just trying to make my car as sleepy as possible. So no tint, no lowered springs, no body kits, no fancy/loud exhaust. Just a factory looking base civic with a crvtec....maybe supercharged..we'll see.

Except for the larger diameter pipe, my setup looks stock...but has a nice growl to when I step on it. My buddy says he likes the way it sounds and he is a former Mustang 5.0 driver, and that is with the d15 still in it. It even helped my little engine breathe better above 5K, a bonus I wasn't counting on with this engine - With the CAI & exhaust I might be putting down 95 flywheel HP or so now ![]() Oh...if it ever stops raining here, I'll try to snap a few pics of it.

Those are "ricer" giveaways more than a racer giveaway. Go find me a true racer with a big huge wing and stickers on their car. A true racer has more than stock internals and takes it to the track.

personally I don't think how your car looks has a bit to do with how much people will and will not want to race you. My car looks stock and people still try to race me... like the night before last this riced out Neon wanted to go at it...but I don't race, so I just ignored him revving on me. But it's not really how your car looks, it's how all the other retards on the road act... most of them will try racing just about anything that will go at it with them.

all the ricers in my town wont race me at all. I pull up next to an Eagle Talon with a big wing and 18" wheels and rev it up with my 'slammed on steelies' stocker looking civic. they just laugh like its funny. I pulled up next to this 90 Prelude Si before, he had the white tint strips to match his white car, slammed, white wheels, racing seats, blah blah. Needless to say i smoked his ass off. I cant wait until the ricers start buying those clear hoods so i can see right off the bat that its a stock engine on a ricer-mobile so i dont waste my time.
