1999 Grand Am GT-"Trac Off" light won't go off

While I'm at it, this same 99 GA GT 3.4 w/AT-OD has the "Trac Off" warning light lit, and it won't go off, whether the ETC is engaged or not. How do I make it go away?

IMO it's a bad wheel speed sensor or a poor electrical conection. Check the wire for kinks or breaks along it's path. If you have access to an ABS brake scan tool it will help you locate which wheel is causing the code. If you have not ever replaced the front hubs in a car this old I'm inclined to say i'ts one of them, but a rear hub is also a posibility. The sensor is part of the hub.

Thanks, that what I was afraid of. I understand it is a common problem with this kind of car; I just sold an '01 Montana w/ 90K that was in need of front hubs. The ABS light on this GA is also on, so I'll check the wheel sensors.
Thanks!
