Rear window defogger wire

I there a way other than soldering to reattach the rear window defogger wire to the rear window of a 2001 Tahoe? Soldering attempts by dealer have failed twice.

Re: Rear window defogger wire

I used this product a couple of years ago to fix mine http://www.frostfighter.com/prt2000.htm

This was much better than the Permatex product in the local parts stores.

soldering is on some things very tricky...the dealership is not the place for this type of repair...find a person familiar with soldering electronic componets. or even a skilled plumber ...the use of a soldering flux is applied to the surfaces, then heating the materials with a hot soldering iron until the flux bubbles then apply the solder..have an assistant hold the soldered materials from moving until cool...then with this soldered put some 2 part clear epoxy on the repair to secure the wire joint to window allow to harden..

years ago I have used this silver adhesive as will as the spray material very nice ...very expensive the small can of spray 5OZ was 50.oo....
