97 1500 doorlock actuator

i have a 97 chevy 1500. i am having a problem with the doorlock motor on the driver side. i thought it was a bad motor because it wouldnt lock all the way. well i replace it with a new actuator and it does a little bit better but still doesnt lock the door. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

Check the resistance at the switches, both of them. Do you have keyless entry or no? The wiring diagrams are different. Will the drivers door lock if you use the passenger side switch instead of the drivers?
