'01 -- window motor and heater not working

Both of the front windows do not work. Are there any other factors to check other than fuses/relays, window switches and window motors? Also, how does one go about testing the window motor to see if it is the problem? On this same vehicle, the heater does not work and when I turn up the thermostat, it makes a clicking sound. Both the blower and the air conditioner works. How can I go about troubleshooting and fixing this problem?

Re: '01 -- window motor and heater not working

the easy part is the heater. Likely the blend door actuator motor. A pretty easy change and well discussed here. Do a search. As for the windows, I'd check fuses then I'd check the wire harness where it goes thru the door jamb into the door. I've had 2 motors stop resulting from a frayed wire. If the motor is completely stopped, no noise or anything I'd be looking at the silly little things first.

Re: '01 -- window motor and heater not working

The heat problem is the "blend door actuator", it is well documented and guaranteed to be an easy fix with the symptoms you describe. Fan blowing cold air even when temp control is in hot position and clicking sound heard behind radio is classic...

Check out these links for starters, good luck:
