91 civic DX swap

I think I've posted this question before but I didn't really get any response. Maybe it's just a stupid question. I am trying to get a b16a1 into my 91 civic dx and I have got a bunch off different prices. I live on the east coast in Maryland. Is 4,500 too much for a complete swap w/ trans and a 90 day warranty? I got a price for 3,500 with no warranty. Am i paying a extra 1000 bucks for a warranty or am i getting screwed. I feel like I am being taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge about this stuff. I am sure everyone is sick of my questions but I am sick of farting around with this and want it done. Any comments or suggestions of where i should go or how i should go about doing this with out getting ripped off would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You should pay no more than $1500 for a B16a1 complete. Most places will ship to you for about $350. So yeah your getting screwed. I wouldn't pay for the warranty and just get the motor from a good shop. Look around at some of the online stores and you'll find good deals.

$4500 is still kind of high.. you can get everything needed for the engine (including mounts, etc.) for under $2000. You are paying $2500 for installation? with a mount kit its almost a direct bolt in.

Shops = highway robbery.

There is a good shop in Glen Burnie called Hondamans...They have done work for me in the past (things like tranny swaps and timing belts/water pumps, etc....when I had no ability/place/time to do them myself)...

Call them up and see if they'll do your engine swap. The owner's name is John and he is a nice guy. Sorry I don't have their number...you can get it thru information I am sure...HONDAMANS on Richie Highway.

Good Luck
