Re: 03 alero oil filter
The oil filter for the 2.2L Ecotec engine is a cannister type cartridge. Located behind where the oil level dipstick is located on the engine block (driver's side). You'll see a black cover with a big nut on it. A 1 1/4" socket should be used. Turn counterclockwise to remove. Torque to 18 lb-ft after filter is replaced.
