02 venture p0410 code help

hey everyone. this code came up on my girlfriends van. i replaced the pump and checked to make sure the fuse is still good. but the code came back. what else would casue this code to pop? (p0410 secondary air injection malfunction) everything i read said to replace the pump and fuse and your good to go... thanks in advance

Other things can cause this, some basic diagnostics must be done, do a site or google search for the code plenty of info is available.

yes i thought that too. i looked for days on this site and google searching. nothing i found says what else would cause this code to pop. thanks for the help.

The solenoid/check valve in the line to the manifold is the usual suspect here they freeze and hence the code.

any idea where that is? what it looks like? or hopefully a partnumber?

i have done a lot of reading on this code and have found very detailed help on several other gm cars but not the venture.... believe it or not, i'm not totally helpless, just seem to be having an unusally hard time with this issue...

Follow the hose from the pump you will see a solenoid in the line, this is what you need to check, p/n unkown. Any GM dealer can help with this or gmpartsdirect.com

thanks a bunch man. there seems to be a soleniod valve on the back of the motor... its 20 bucks so i think i'll give it a shot.
