Parking Brake Light staying on?

Hello all I have a question about my parking brake light. It is on and stays on all of the time even when the brake is off. I have not noticed anything wrong with the car as far as trying to brake is concerned I just don't want it to cause a bigger problem. I first noticed it a couple of weeks ago when I was on an on ramp in a right turn, it popped on then after driving a couple of hundred feet it turned off. I kept doing that only now the light is on all the time. Does anybody know what the problem is and how I wan fix it? Thanks

Re: Parking Brake Light staying on?

To start check the brake master cylinder fluid level. Same light is used as the idiot light for low fluid level or failure of the braking hydraulic system. Or you could just have a bad switch at the parking brake.
