d16y8 swap to jdm d15b vtec ?s

I am installing a jdm d15b in my 96 civic ex and was wondering what would be best since my stock 1.6 had a single vtec solenoid and the d15b has two solenoids? Is there anyway to wire the dual solenoids or would it be best to just swap to the original single solenoid? Any help would be great!
