Crazy Modeler CF decal - had the same problem?

I just recently purchased some sheets of Crazy Modeller CF decal and was very disappointed to see that they seem to have reacted with the plastic packaging.

The decal itself is spotty and stained and the wrapper has wrinkled. The two were very lightly "stuck" together.

Has anyone else seen this? Is the decal still usable or should I try and return it for replacement?

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Crazy Modeler CF decal - had the same problem?

sorry to hear that mate.,

but, does it disappear when you apply it with water? i mean the spotted one...

when it disappear, then there should be no problem, because anyway you will top coat it with clear/flat in the end..
but, if it's not, maybe you should return them, and have the new one..

by the way, i have some of this product, i should check them now...

I used this CF and never did't have problem with this carbon. I think the best choice is returned and get a new one

I had this happen to couple of sheets, but it mostly disappears once you apply the decal. Notice, I said "mostly" disappears, some of it still visible after the application. If you going to clearcoat it after, then its no problem.

Got some trouble in last purchase.
I cleared with Vallejo satin after application and it's OK than.

Thanks guys for the information. It's annoying but good to know that it should still work.

TBH I don't think I'll be buying this stuff again in that case There are too many other CF decals out there that are flawless

...and if you even have any small urge to exchange it, don't bother testing it first.
It's always easier to get a replacement on an un-used item.
