03 Explorer 4.0 L P2270 Code
Hi All,
I just bought a 2003 Ford Explorer last night with 73k on a 4.0L Eddie Bauer edition. After driving it around for a little bit, the CEL came on (of course, not during the test drive!). I checked it and the code was P2270 O2 Bank 1 Sensor 2 Signal Stuck Lean. I believe this was right after I filled it up with gas. Anyone have any guidance on this? Should I replace the O2 sensor? If so, which sensor is this? Thank you! Adam |

The sensor is the one behind the converter. I believe you only have one converter. If by chance you hace dual exhaust, it is on the passenger side behind the converter.

Thanks, I got it changed. I didn't realize that there were two catalytic converters on this truck. All four O2 sensors look fairly accessible which is good to know for future knowledge. Thanks for your help! |
