02' explorer - inop. Power windows

Does anyone know if there is a relay, fuse or circuit breaker for the power windows? If so where are they?

None of the windows work from any door, window lock is off and they all stopped at the same time. Everything else seems to working fine. My owners manual says nothing about fuses or relays or anything. Help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply's.
You were right Rod about the manual not showing fuses and there was a broken wire in the door jam. All is well now.

Thanks again.

I hate to second-guess your statement there, but every owners manual I have ever seen includes a diagram and list of circuits for the fuse panel. Check the index under 'fuses'.

Also, sometimes, there is a simple reference diagram inside the fuse panel door.

Re: 02' explorer - inop. Power windows

I agree that typically the owner's manual would list the fuse diagrams, but in this case, the service manual suggests that there is a 30-amp circuit breaker, O22, that is mounted on the left hand side of the engine compartment, oddly not in one of the fuse/relay panels. The circuit breaker provides power to the accessory delay relay though, so if that breaker were open, there are more accessories than just the power windows that wouldn't work.

I'd be more inclined to suspect, at this point, a broken Light Blue/Black wire to the master power window switch, possibly in the area where the wires go from the door jamb to the driver's door. Even though I don't think the 2002 has the multipin connector in the door jamb, these wires still seem to be prone to breaking. The speaker wires for my 2004 Mountaineer have already broken in that flex hose, I ended up running new wires since it's not easy to access the wires in that boot.
