Do I really need to bench bleed new master cylinder before installation?
Says to in the instructions...seems like one of those things I've never seen done and has never caused a problem.

Well, if you don't want to lose brakes and crash your car the first time you take it out with the new cylinder, it might be a good idea to...

Yah I guess that's a good enough reason
I guess I need some bleeder plugs then (as per instructions).

Master cylinders sometimes come with the plugs and some tubing to bench bleed. It really makes the bleeding process easier to do it on the bench, that way you are not pushing all that air thru the system.
