Where do you buy your turned compression fittings?
I have some builds on the horizon in 1/20 and 1/24 and 1/12 that will need (I guess?) a lot of compression fittings / a/n fittings and whatnot (yes, I admit I don't even know what the differences between them are
)I know of several sources for these and have bought detail master in the past but they always seem horrendously expensive to me given that on 10$ pack doesn't go very far! My question is: Do you know of any particularly reasonably priced sources? Where do YOU buy them? Are all the manufacturers in fact comparable? I DON'T want to make my own out of styrene etc. I DO want to buy turned metal (or good resin versions) but want to pay as little as possible. Any ideas or thoughts?

Re: Where do you buy your turned compression fittings?
RB Motion offers brilliant AN Fittings, 12pcs. for around 7$ (depending on size). He might give you a discount if you plan to buy lots of parts.

Re: Where do you buy your turned compression fittings?
I have the RB Motion AN fittings, which are really nice.
I recently bought Hobby Design metal compression fittings (from Hobby Easy IIRC). Not expensive, and also well made. |

Re: Where do you buy your turned compression fittings?
you are reading my mind, i was just surfing for source, the problem is that fittings are not general use and therefore price can be higher, I am afraid we are doomed to expensive ones, I really love Sakatsu ones and Modeler's plastic ones that are long OOP but they were fantastic (price/quality).
A lot of blabering with no help ....sorry, if I dig out something I will let you know.

Re: Where do you buy your turned compression fittings?
Same here
![]() I wish there was a proper review and comparison of what's available on the market. Dear manufacturers, if you are reading this, please send me samples of your products and I will be happy to test and review them for you in my progress thread!

Re: Where do you buy your turned compression fittings?
For a much cheaper option, could you buy some 1.5mm or 2mm plastic hex rod, drill out the centre and then cut to correct length ?
