99 Intrigue Starting Problems
Three times in the last year and a half my Intrigue just won't turn over. The security light does not come on. I do notice that the brake pedal is depressed when this occurs. After about ten minutes, it starts and everything is fine. I know many complain about Passlock problems, and that may be what it is, but my symptoms are a bit different than what most report. Any ideas?

Re: 99 Intrigue Starting Problems
If you leave the key on for 10 minutes, the security system will be disabled and the engine should crank. If you turned the key off during the 10 minutes, sounds like the key switch is bad or a poor connection in the battery circuit.

Re: 99 Intrigue Starting Problems
Sounds like it could be the Park Lock Sensor next time that happens try putting your foot on the brake and shift the car into neutral and then try starting it in neutral. Also just recently I had a problem with my 2002 Intrigue not turning over or even clicking and the security light never came on, but the lights would flicker as I turned my key. Turns out it was the battery cables not getting proper contact with the battery so I cleaned them with a wire brush, and put some lube on them and it started right up it did that occasionally before I ever got around to diagnosing it. I haven't had the problem since.

Re: 99 Intrigue Starting Problems
Thanks for the response. Starting in neutral was the first thing I had tried; no luck.
