Clear Tubing Source?
I need some flexible clear plastic tubing for the fuel hose on the Fujimi 1/24 356 Speedster I'm building. I'd like to get an assortment of sizes so I can have some on hand. Is there a source for this stuff?
Thanks! Ddms |

Re: Clear Tubing Source?
In 1/24, it's really impossible to tell whether small dia clear line is tubing or if it's solid. So happily things like monofilament fishing line or sewing thread look just as good.
Or... You can take a straight section of clear sprue several inches long, and gently melt the center with a flame. Carefully pull the ends apart, and you have your own styrene monofilament. You can make it to whatever diameter you need by varying how fast you pull. Paint it with transparent clear colors if desired, or with clear flat for a translucent look.

Re: Clear Tubing Source?
Great ideas. I'll try stretching some clear sprue, since I don't have any clear shrinkfit tubing around the house.
(That L25 looks great, Klutz. Is it 1/20?) |

Re: Clear Tubing Source?
It's the same kit as yours. The Tamiya 1/20. Build HERE
Recommend stocking up on some of the shrink tubing - it's a very useful item to have on hand.
