Intermittent Starting issue

Hello all,

First post here. I spent quite a bit of time searching for my answer but did not find it.

I recently bought used a 2001 Silo. It has 124K on it w/ 3.4.

I am having an intermittent starting issue. Most of the time it starts with no problem. Occasionally it will not start however. The battery has full power. When the ignition is turned to start all dummy lights/radio turn off like they should.

The starter was also making a sound as if the it was still spinning after it disengaged from the fly wheel.

I replaced the started today. This seemed to fix the sound from the starter when it starts however it did not fix the ittermittent starting problem.

Any ideas? Is this a common issue for the Silo? As I am typing this I am thinking the neutral safety switch is a possibility?

Thanks

- Mike
