2001 blazer wont start replaced fuel pump too
I thought my blazer had a bad fuel pump because when i turn the key i wouldnt hear the pump. My girlfriend was driving it and it was still running with it finally died. It was bucking and wouldnt get up there in full rpms I told her to pull over incase she blew it up. Well when i got there it wouldnt start at all. A couple of days later it started and idled fine i could rev it up then it bucked a couple times like it didnt have enough fuel and died for the last time. Well yesterday I put a pump in it thinking it was the problem and low and behold .. same thing. Not fuel in the lines and no sounds of the pump running. I swapped the relay out for another one and still didnt work. I have no clue whats wrong with this p.o.s. Please help so I can get this thing going. I have an aftermarket car starter in it which was working fine and still does. I turned it off thinking it was the problem but its still not starting.

Re: 2001 blazer wont start replaced fuel pump too
Check for power at the pump! Should be two grew wires running back there. One of them will have power all the time with the key on and the other should have power for a couple seconds when you turn the key on and then light up again when you crank the engine over. That's the one supplying power to the pump. Try to check as close to the pump as you can. The harness runs along the drivers side fram and there are several places that are fairly easy to access. If you have no power than you can start tracing that wire back and maybe find a spot that is open or severely corroded.

Quote:
Jumper with a fused jumper to gray wire at fuel pump relay or fuel pump test connector and see if fuel pump runs. Always Check ECMB fuse for power both sides. Also make sure it has good spark from coil cranking. If no spark it will not turn on fuel pump.
