Revell AG VW Samba Bus Quick Shots of contents

Here is the VW Samba bus. Yes, the front body piece on the driver window side is broken, not short shot. The broken piece was in the bag and I'll look at gluing it on and posting a picture of the update later. I haven't checked for warpage, but not noticeable on the sprue.

Hi,

I canīt understand, why they make a multipiece body.

I hope, the wheels will be more to scale than you can see on the test-shot photos http://revell.de/de/produkte/modellb...ba_bus/?id=873 - it is nearly donk-style ;-))

I am with Micha on that one... just not getting why the f*ck they bring a multipiece body?? All other companies stopped doing that 83.273.717.317 years ago

But check out the blue one, wheels look smaller and nicer. I think the person who built the red one painted them like that. http://www.revell.de/de/produkte/mod...ba_bus/?id=873

Re: Revell AG VW Samba Bus Quick Shots of contents

Mine was hand-delivered on Saturday by Scale Auto at our show for me to do a build review

VW is our web theme for our 2010 NNL, so I'll have a head start as I have to have this Samba built by Jan 10.

Thanks for the photos! The body on mine isn't broken...all the parts are a bit intimidating, but it looks like it builds up well.

Re: Revell AG VW Samba Bus Quick Shots of contents

have already bought this kit, and those are whitewall tyres, not big wheels!!! Btw, the multipiece body makes perfect sense for this kit, as all the interior detail is moulded to the other side. Also, the way that the doors etc are hinged probably wouldn't be possible with a one piece body. None of the panel joins are in inconvenient places either.

The instructions will make it all clearer:
