Trim on F-150 is peeling off causing door to not open

I have a thick trim on both sides of the truck, I am assuming it is for a bumber so anything light wouldn't roll into it and scratch the paint. However, at the edge of my door near the hinge side it is starting to peel off and when I open my door it catches and stops the door from opening all the way and also is peeling back more. What do you do about that besides rip it all off the truck everywhere? Is there some kind of glue or adhesive that you can apply or is it a technical thing that has to be brought in to get repaired?

Thanks for any advise,

Charles

Clean the two surfaces w/ alcohol, and pick up a roll of 2 way trim tape. Or go to a paint shop and ask to buy a small piece for a couple of bucks (a roll is around $20.) They will probably do it for you for $5-$10 bucks! If it has become severely distorted, a heat gun or even a blow drier will restore the shape and aid in adhesion. Hold it firmly in place w/pressure til it cools. The biggest Technical part of the repair is "money", and not much of that!
