2004 GP Heated Seats

My heated seats are turning on, but as soon as I start to feel the heat they shut off. I cannot turn them back on until the car is shut off and restarted.

I searched this problem and found that the seats have two components; the element and a relay. Is there a way for me to narrow it down to one or the other? My wife will kill me if that seat doesn't get fixed.

That is correct. Proper troubleshooting with a multimeter (DMM) and GM wiring diagrams is the best way to pinpoint which component is causing the issue.
