I replaced the camshaft sensor but still have a problem with the jeep
stalling. Now it is running very rough. I have a new code which states the map sensor is bad. I checked the voltage on the map sensor & got 5.8. I hooked it up again & got a code PO108 which is voltage to high. Is the m ap sensor bad causing the high voltage or is it the computer causing the problem? |

Re: Still no luck
How many miles, what engine?
Rough running and stalling are symptoms of a bad CPS (crankshaft position sensor) in the 4.0

when it was running good & started stalling it gave me the code "camshaft sensor". When i changed the camshaft sensor it started running real rough & stalling. Now it is giving me the code "map sensor". I will change the crankshaft position sensor first before I change the map sensor. Thanks for your input. Any other suggestions would be appreciated |

Re: Still no luck
Before throwing a lot of parts at it, how long have the spark plugs been in it?

Re: Still no luck
are you sure you are getting 5.8 volts at the map sensor...it's only a 5 volt supply so you should get 5 volts max unless your shorted to voltage...with the key on remove the map sensor connect a volt meter to the signal cicuit and apply vacuum check if the voltage changes..

Re: Still no luck
Keep the TPS as a thing to check as well. I had similar symptoms and a new TPS fixed it all for me.
