96 G.A. headlights problems
hi yeall, the head lights on the 1996 grandAm are not working right, there are no low beam, only high and for some reason they come on, when the floor shifter is put in reverse and then a fuse blows...
...not sure how to test the DLR or any other circuit to track it down... hope some one has had the same problem, even the wiring circuit would help a lot, thanks Last edited by tinman55; 11-10-2009 at 02:41 PM. |

Re: 96 G.A. headlights problems
Welcome to AF !
Have you chcked all teh fuses and relays for your headlamps ? Are teh low beams burnt out, the bulbs ? If those check out it could be a ground wire under the hood close to the front for your headlights. Or it could be your headlight switch is flaking out.

Re: 96 G.A. headlights problems
thanks for helping out , so far the fuses check out alright, the bulbs are all good, and i'm not sure where the low /high beam relay or switch is located.
and don't forget the stick shift blows the D_R_N_D_L fuse...10 Amp. Still working on it will diassemble the console and find the short first m then deal with the NO low beam problem, that you for responding so quick. |
