1995 Grand AM acting funny
It started last Thursday. I went to take my kids to school and it started fine. Then when I stopped at another place and turned it off for about 10 min it wouldn't start back up. Finally after a couple hours it started. Checked the battery and charging system and they are fine. I changed the fuel filter and now when you start it it blows smoke and smells like gas and when you rev the engine or try to drive it stalls out.
Any idea what this could be? |

Re: 1995 Grand AM acting funny
Welcome to AF kristi9290 !
Sounds like a fuel injecter might be stuck open causing it to run rich and flood the cylinders. Try some sea foam injector clear and see if that doesnt help. Also when was the last tune up ? Fauled plugs or bad wires can also cause simular problems. And your GA being a 95, is a hybrid OBD(On Board Diagnostic) system. So getting it scanned for trouble codes, can be tricky if you dont have the right scan tool. Hope that helps
