transmission problem
Just received a 92 735 IL for a debt that was owed don't know much of it's history. car has 114K miles and in fair condition. Trans mission will not shift out of 3rd when in Drive. Have been told by a shop that the transmission needs to be re-built at a cost of about $2.300. Is this a reasonable price, not sure I want to keep the car. And by the way I'm not sure what series this car is and I don't know if I'm in the right forum. Will be greatful for any help. Bedford

hey, not sure about your issue, but the car is a 7 series, and you may be able to find more help in the 7 series forum, GL
