1991 - Fuel / starting issues...

Hello.

I need to sell my 1991 Oldsmobile 98 Regency Elite.

I've been working on it the past few days... just replaced the master cylinder (see this thread) and ran into a new problem.

The car wouldn't start for me a day or so ago, and this was just after I had started it and drove it out of the garage and back in for the master cylinder change.

I don't have a fuel pressure tester, but I did have my wife turn the engine over a few times while I depressed that schrader valve on the fuel rail with a small tool and I had no fuel coming out.

Now, this morning, I go out to the garage and tried it again and it fired right up no problem.

I'm a little worried about this... I don't want to have people coming by to look at it and not be able to start it.

Any ideas? The car really hasn't been driven for a couple years. I'm going to replace the fuel filter since I know that hasn't been replaced in at least double that period of time. I also have a 1989 Buick LeSabre with 3800 engine that also developed this same problem -- I have since not been able to start that car.

Thanks...

p.s. - Unrelated, I believe, but the car is throwing a code 41 (CAM sensor) and a code 62 (?).

Sorry for the delay responding, but if you have a code 41 & no start, typically that points to the crank position sensor (CKPS) or the ignition control module (ICM). Check for spark when it does not start! BTW, the cam position sensor will not cause a no start situation; but will display the same code.
