1966 Chevelle Wagon

This is a 1966 Chevelle Wagon that I made to look like a weathered beater. The whitewall tires are from hoppin hydro's, and the rims are believe it or not from a Tamiya 66 VW Beetle. LOL
This was my very first attempt at weathering/rusting using paint only.
I wanted to say sorry if I am posting too many finished build threads. I am not trying to load this forum up with just my finished builds. I have quite a few that I would like to share with you all. Yes, I do build alot of lowriders, but this type of build is my second favorite compared to low lows.
Thanks for looking.

Oh gawd, it reminds me of one of my dad's old junkers. Good job!

Nice work, looks just like an ole beater you would see in a farmers yard or in some ones back yard with flat tire. I have one of these kits, and I am building something out of the ordinary to match One of my other builds...progress in the near future hopefully.

Re: 1966 Chevelle Wagon

I think this is a fantastic attempt; I could never do better! I you have the look of rust down perfectly. Now I would suggest working on making it look more natural, for instance, where would water pool up and where would it leak back out, etc... So usually something like this, maybe rust spots dripping from window sills, more fender rust, but rusting from the bottom up, etc... And then I guess the 2nd part are the small details - like the too clean license plate.

Don't get me wrong though, I really really like what you did! And I think you have the skills to really take it to the next level!

Hey thank you for that.
And you're right, alot of the smaller details are too clean. But this was my first time doing this. I have since done 3 or 4 more beaters, and I am working on a new project which is a 48 Chevy that will be weathered as well.
