Power Door Locks Fuse
Does anyone know where the power door locks fuse is located on a Pontiac Trans Sport?
We recently had a short on one of the door cables. I repaired the cable and checked the locks - they work with a bypass wire but not on the original circuit and I cannot find any blown fuse in the dash fuse panel. Can someone have a better clue where to look next? Thank you! |

Re: Power Door Locks Fuse
THere is a fuse (CTSY FUSE 15A) in the fuse block, that feeds the "command" circuit (relays and solid state delay control) , and then a breaker for the power feed in the convenience center (PWR ACCY BREAKER) , under and behind the glove compartment. THe power feed comes through an orange/black striped wire (according to my '93 diagram).

Thank you LMP! I've tested the fuse and it appears to be all right.
Is there a way to reactivate/repair the breaker or we need to replace it to make the central locking work? |

Re: Power Door Locks Fuse
YOU can replace it with one just beside (pwr windows...) for a test. After that, if that tests OK, then you must replace it...or, as I did, connect the pwr windows to the power accy circuit from behind...(that is why pwr window breaker is missing in the photo) and use the breaker that is operational.I did this to keep the windows always ON, so I do not have to insert the ignition key...
