Chiming when driving like doors are open

hello guys,

Last night it started to chiming sound like the doors was open (all of them were closed properly) and it didn't stop for about 1 hour during drive.
Yesterday we went from Greensboro, NC to Washington DC and it was raining all day and we had our 2001 lumina on switch for air circlation on window/leg setting and was ac on.
So, after driving in the rain for whole day and on our way back it just started chiming like the door were open.
Windshield wipers were on, lights on, ac on...
I pulled out to gas station and start looking for possible cause, re-checked all doors, opened-closed them, trunk, checked fluid level in steering, etc... but everything seems to be fine.
Then we start driving back home and turned the switch for air circulation to front and after 1 hour the sound stop completely.
I never had this problem before with lumina.
The lumina is 2001 4dr with about 86k on it.
Also, I saw when I was turning the steering wheel to the right the sound stopped for a few moments while car was driving slowly to the right circle, but as soon I turn the other direction it started again.
Tried this morning and everything was fine, when I tried in the garage.
Went to the grocery store, and start beeping with looooong beep, not chiming anymore. Went off after few minutes of driving.
After store wanted to go home and start beeping again for a 20-30 sec and after that with long beeeeep tone and went off after few minutes drive.

Do you have any idea what to check and/or how to fix this????
What can I check??
What could cause this issue??

Very sincerely,

Dino

Does this car have the anti_theft security?

Sorry for not answering earlier on this.

I think it does.

Also the security light is on for past year.
Does that have anything to do with this??

Re: Chiming when driving like doors are open

If the security light is on longer than the few seconds for test of system when first turned on, yes something is wrong. In this case it sounds like internal short. But these problems are very hard to diagnose without vehicle in front of me to check.
