Brake lamp replacement
2002 Grand Caravan - Need to replace left stop bulb. I can't
figure how to get lens cover off. When I lift the hatch i notice on the left two rubber looking grommets. Before i go yanking i figured i'd check with you guys first. Thanks in advance, this is a great site..... padco ps - if there are screws underneath and i remove are there any other fasteners or does the assembly just pop out ? |

Re: Brake lamp replacement
Those grommet looking things are exactly what you need to pull out. But be careful, they are in two parts; an anchor and a plunger. They are typical body fasteners. Use a pair of dykes or a wide screwdriver to pry them apart. Stick the screwdriver or dykes in the groove, not between the fastener and the body of the van. Pry the plunger out no more than 1/2" then you can pull out the entire fastener assembly. After you remove both fasteners the tailight assembly comes right off.
