10 minute security delay

I have a 01 grand am.The security system is becoming a real pain.I have to wait 10 minutes to start the car at very inconvenient times. At almost 10 years old this car doesn't need this device any longer. Can this device be disconnected or bypassed?

Do a search on here. There's actually a lot of info on this. I'm in the same boat right now, except my car won't start at all because of it. There's a way to add in a bypass switch on the yellow wire on the security system, or you can add in a resistor(s) to basically perminitly bypass it.

Do some seraching and you will find a huge thread that's like 20 pages or something long with a lot of good info in there.
