98 Grand Caravan

Wife's vehicle has been 'acting up' lately.

Have had to change passenger side turn signal light twice because it would not signal properly. Something was causing the bulb to burn out. Seems to work okay lately though. Don't know where to look for short.

Battery recently died so we purchased a new one. Van worked fine for a few days but soon starting to slowly die out. Don't rightly know if the alternator is the culprit. The lights on the dash went haywire and the van seemed to systematically shut down. Buddy of mine suggested it may be sensors, which is possible, I suppose.

When it comes to electrical components of a vehicle, I am a novice.

Any advice/suggestions would be most welcome.

Thank you.

Head back to the battery shop and have them charge and load test the battery. Only way to proove the battery is good. They can probably test the alternator for you too. If it continues you may have a parasitic drain on the battery meaning something in a circuit is drawing power when it shouldn't. Here's how to troubleshoot that: http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice...-battery-drain

Your erratic dash lights etc are likely caused by the weak battery. These electrical systems are sensative to low voltage and voltage spikes.
