Re: So are brembo rotors being discontinued?

The main thing isnt really the rotors, its more of the pads.

I guess you can just go around to some of the different 3s vendors and see what they have to offer as far as rotors go.

Re: So are brembo rotors being discontinued?

We have really nice slotted and drilled rotors PLUS the posi-quiet pads now going for $200 shipped, for the front set.

Well, go tell that sales person to go jump in a lake. I can't stress enough how useless cross drilling is. Slotting is useful, but not on a street car. Just get a good set of blanks from Race Shopper. They're good and they're inexpensive. Follow it up with some good pads and some fresh fluid.

Re: So are brembo rotors being discontinued?

Brembo is more interested it selling to the OEMs and doing big brake kits. They've only discontinued the OEM replacements. They didn't make rotors for first gen TTs anyhow.

Re: So are brembo rotors being discontinued?

I'll agree for the normal stock or BPU car, rotors aren't that much of an issue. However when you start pushing 350whp+ to the wheels, the drilled and/or slotted rotors do help alot. They will cool much more efficiently and last longer.

Re: So are brembo rotors being discontinued?

Drilled rotors are a gimmick. They do not help. Even Brembo puts a warning on their drilled rotors that they are not intended for racing purposes.

If drilled and slotted were a big help you would see them on race cars. The fact is, you don't. All the race cars have a solid blank rotor.

Re: So are brembo rotors being discontinued?

Those are F1 brakes. Notice they are not slotted nor drilled. Even the car manufactures that use drilled rotors have admitted they only do it for aesthetics. Drilled rotors will crack and there is nothing you can do about it.

Re: So are brembo rotors being discontinued?

once again steathees right like always. if u wanna show car, go slooted or drilled, but they dont stop as effectivly as blanks..there less rotor for the pad to grb on and less materail to absorb heat...oooooooooo physics is a bastard
