I just love these 43rd scale AMRs! Another restoration of the old kit built in early 80's (was painted baby blue - yuck!), with some "modern day" additions - Crazy Modeler scripts, MFH badges, complete repaint and few enhancements along the way (interior detail, gauges, real leather hood straps, BMF etc).

Umm, its in the first post - AMR, scale 1/43, white metal, as most AMRs are.

Yeah, how cool would it be to have this 250MM in plastic! I believe MG models made this one in resin though, but they are pretty much unobtainium at this point.

For me that don't know to much about these lovely cars, why is there a small wind shield on the hood?

Now you touch a nerve.

If the 1/43 manufacturer can make such kits and find market to sell them in, why could not the 1/24 manufacturers do the same? I am pretty sure if the a choice between 1/43 and 1/24 kits of the same subject is possible the majority will go 1/24.

Well, they are 1/43...they probably look less "clunky" in person than in these beauty shots which are a good bit larger on the screen than the model would be in person.

I rarely pay much attention to 1/43 scale models as they're not the preferred scale I like to build & view models of, but I have to admit these are quite spectacular in detail and execution, especially considering they are restorations

Its a bug/debris shield. Helps to keep your windshield clean during the race.

No, they are a bit oversized, but in this scale its hard to make small details like that really to scale. Keep in mind also that the kit was made in late 70s or early 80s.

The original is not really a highlight in the "looks" department but then that's a matter of taste :-)
