strut questions

hey guys i have a 97 gtp with 95k on it and well the suspensions pretty screwy. i dont know much about suspensions but i do know theres something wrong ha. on any sort of dip or bump in the road there seems to be too much travel, and it makes a loud grinding or rubbing noise that can be heard in the car with the windows up. on larger bumps and dips or potholes there is usually loud clunking going on. im assuming i need to replace the struts, but i was wondering how to tell if anything else needs to be replaced like the mounts or anything, or how to check the other parts. any help would be great thanks!

Re: strut questions

Sounds like your struts could be bad or else your springs are sagging and your suspension is hitting the bump stops on the struts.

I think if I were you I would look into replacing both the struts and the springs and all the mounts.
