Bose stereo problems
The stereo works all the time but the speakers shut off and on even when it is setting still! Anyone else had this problem befor?

if all the sound drops out this would be the connector or the amp is overheating and cutting out..check fuses for security and place a meter on the supply /ground to ensure its getting a good solid feed...

I forgot to mention,,,If a speaker coil is shorted/shorting out the amp will overload and should shut off,,,protection device..

I did find that the driver side speaker is not working. Is this the most likely cause, you think.

also If one speaker is bad ,,the rest are bad... some say these speakers are great...I say cheap junk....I replaced all of my speakers,,,and come to think of it I did this shortly after buying all my vehicles new...GM uses the cheapest speakers available..when you buy a car/truck you normally don't ask what speakers are in it.. most get amps and high power speakers to overcome the GM sound issues...I found that replacing with a high quality speaker , is all that is needed. unless you what to shake the ground... |
