Replacing rear pads and rotors 01 Grand Prix

I have an 01 grand prix se Im changing the rear pads tommorrow, and possible the rotors. I have changed the front before but not the rear. I was wondering exactly what tools I will need to change the rear pads and rotors. Not sure if I will need to replace the rotors yet, but there is a grinding noise now when a break. Sizes would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot

If you can do the fronts, the rears are a cake walk.

I agree. I think the bolts are 13mm and 14mm for the bridge and guide bolts. I forgot which is which. Of course you will need a 19mm and breaker bar to get the wheel off, and you might need a 5lb hammer to break the rust bridge and get the rotor off the hub.

My guess is that if they are grinding, you are going to need to replace the rotors for sure. When I do brake jobs, its never a question, I always replace the rotors. They are cheap enough nowadays.

The back should be easier than the front, good luck with your repair.
