Blinker fails, Hazards still work

Intermittently, the blinkers dont work on my 2000 GV, neither left nor right. The hazards still work fine at the same time. I usually takes some time and then the blinkers will work again.
Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?
thanks

I assume you are talking about your turn signals..as the blinkers. I would suspect the turn signal switch/control stalk assembly it screws on to the steering column has some weak contacts.

When it's not working tap on the combination flasher module on the interior fuse panel (Junction Block). It's under the left lower side of the dash.

I gotta check that, my suspicion is that my 2 year old has been pulling and twisting hard on those signals while pretending he's driving.
He is getting better at driving though, if he'll just concetrate on the road ahead of him more often instead of looking at the surroundings...

thanks for the tips
