V8.............Avenger!?

Maybe I must have been seeing things but I picked this up off of a post on this forum, under the Topic: avengers suck.

And what do you drive? Cavalier? Stock speed doesn't matter. It's the 9 sec 1/4 mile street legal V8 Avengers that make them worthwhile. Or all the turbo'ed Avengers around. I'd like to see you race them. Besides, if you're wantin the ladies, they don't give a flyin fu*k how fast your car is, it's all looks to them. Thats what makes me laugh bout guys braggin bout their gas nazis. I love em too and all, but they don't get you what a man REALLY needs.

And if this is true, how do these V8 Dodge Avengers come about? Are they a result of engine swapping or did they use to sell V8 Anvengers. Maybe some people decided to do some Frankensteining to put a Bigblock 420 into it, (little bit of sarcasm). But if it is true that would be pretty damn cool and probably win the award of being one of the best sleepers.

No Avenger ever came stock with a V8 or turbo. If they are out there people have been doing swaps and adding the turbos no question.

Well, I was sort of not counting on V8 Dodge Avenger ever sold stock, it would have been too good of a decision GM would have ever thought of considering the time period it was out in (1995 to 2000). :finger:
I am just kidding, well mostly.

So if it was an engine swap, what type of engine did they swap it with? And did they have to do much tranny and structural upgrades to accommodate it?

I have seen people fit the 360 ci in a Neon, and the 8.0L Viper V10 in a PT. It is all a mtter of time and money, you could fit pretty much any motor in there.

ok v8 4.0 was a concept dat was sold for testin only 50 were sold they were horible they had no room for indection they burned all of them came back 3 4 times in a year cuz of burns HEY ASSHOLD POLYGON VIPER ENGINE EHH ur mom is a viper engine dey way the same and are the same size idiot viper engine is about 12 feet long 2000+ pounds its almost the full size of the avenger wit no induction nothign wata fag

Hey smart ass, I am a mod of these forums and I don't like the manner in which you responded to my post. I really don't care if you don't like LeBarons, I really don't care if you don't like me. However, there is no need to talk to ANYONE like that in these forums. I just don't see you contributing jack shit with your attitude.

For your information, you don't know what I think and you don't know why I like the LeBaron so put a cork in it. I've have been to a lot of car shows and I have seen a PT with a Viper engine in it. I've seen a Neon with a 360 in it. People have done wilder engine swaps. Like I said, it is just a matter of time and money. Also I stated that Chrysler never produced an Avenger with a V8 or Turbo. They might have experimented with it but it never made it into production. You don’t have any clue what I know about cars so don’t pretend you do. Grow up and have a little more respect for people next time.
