2005 Silverado Clicking Noise
I have a 2005 Silverado z71 4 door with 103,000 miles. There's a click coming from under the vehicle about every 10-30 seconds while driving ,and once the truck is turned off. It will stop after about 15-20 minutes. Seems like the more I drive, longer distance, hauling, it's louder and more frequent. If I'm sitting at a red light with the radio off i can hear it. It almost sounds like the normal oil dripping or whatever it is in the front of the vehicle, but it's louder and is coming from under the cab, I think.

Re: 2005 Silverado Clicking Noise
There is a tsb on ticking noise under dash from ac/heater.
Does it do it with ac/heater on or off or both?

Re: 2005 Silverado Clicking Noise
Also inspect exhaust system for noise.
If you can still hear it after engine is shut off. This TSB may cover it. Bulletin No.: 03-06-05-008D Date: March 05, 2007 TECHNICAL Subject: Exhaust Popping/Snapping Noise When Vehicle is Hot, at Idle, or Immediately After Vehicle is Shut Off (Replace Muffler Heat Shield)
