Lancia 037 WRC

Howdy!
It's been quite a while I discovered this Forum. Now I start my very first WIP here by this great racing machine. Usually I build Open Wheelers, mainly F1 machines, which have been seen elsewhere. So here is a mockup with wheels on. Enjoy .

Yes, this is the Revell version, winner of Acropol 1983. BTW, building this is some kind of Record for me: I have been doing this for 7 months now !

Re: Lancia 037 WRC

The interior looks alright. I would have downtoned the silver a bit. It seems to be a little too bright and therefore an unrealistic tone of color.
Secondly - may be for future builds you could invest in some PE or other racing seat belts. The decals just donīt work in my eyes.
And the last thing: You could research on the interior to add some color to the buttons. It makes the whole thing more realistic.

Keep it up and show us the rest of the progress as well. Iīm kinda looking into this Lancia to build it myself.

Re: Lancia 037 WRC

ciao Vekkuli,
welcome
This forum is incredible, the guys here have an incredibly high skill.

If u still can do that (I mean if u still didnt touch the front clip of the hasegawa kit) try maybe to correct the wrong shape the japanese gave to the nose of our Lancia Rally.
I really dunno why but they made so many strange mistakes (engine position wrong also),but the front clip has a strange low angle in the front bumper (look at the side arrow in the front..there under hasegawa has a little angle coming out, not present on the real car).
Nearly all models around, including the super detailed ones, still have this huge mistake present.

I modify one,in the hope (future..maybe) to make it in resin.
U also need to keep the front area up to the lights more round, and the Lancia shield grid should be much more external than in Hasegawa moulds.
I add here few pics of what I did to make it correct, hope u can understand what I mean, if u maybe want to correct it.
It is not a so difficult work, think about that...
